About Us

Dave Lucas

director/Principal Financial Adviser

Dave started in the financial services industry in 1981. He is a life member of the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) in the USA and holds the international financial planning mark of Certified Financial Planner CFPCM Professional.

As a senior adviser in the firm, Dave will conduct all meetings with clients to ensure the design and implementation of your financial plan will deliver professional advice that will assist you to achieve your objectives.

Dave has been the recipient of numerous industry awards for high performance and highlighted in 2007 when he was awarded the Professional Investment Services ‘Adviser of the year ‘in NZ award.

Dave is an Authorised Financial Adviser in accordance with Financial Markets Authority regulations and was granted this on the 6th May 2011 (Register number FSP46943) and was renewed in May 2016 for a further five years until 2021. Since then, Dave has furthered his education in completing a Graduate Diploma of Business Studies in Personal Financial Planning from Massey University.

Outside the office Dave is keen to race in cycle and running events. He completed his first marathon at 40, Ironman Taupo at 49 and achieved a spot in the NZ Long distance triathlon team in 2006. Dave has at least two events he races in each year and enjoys being a healthy and happy dad of three with three grandchildren.

Client Relationship Manager

Jess graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing and Accounting in November 2019. This diverse combination of majors gives Jess a point of difference and the ability to apply her knowledge in multiple aspects of the business.

Jess is often the first point of contact for clients, her job is to make sure we meet the needs of our clients in line with their expectations and always with a smile on her face. With Dave actively engaging with clients, Jess ensures that everything runs smoothly through her oversight of day to day business operations and extensive knowledge of the financial planning process, providing support in all areas.

Along with this, Jess is also a key member of our Marketing & Communications Team, which involves building campaign strategies and organising events to constantly develop and grow the Financial Architects community. Since joining our team Jess has proven to be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and maintains strong communication skills.

In her spare time Jess enjoys keeping fit, travelling and most importantly, spending time with her friends and family.

Georja kidd

Communications and Adviser Coordinator

Georja studied a Bachelor of Tourism Management, minoring in Marketing from Victoria University of Wellington, completing the degree in February 2019. Her studies in Tourism Management focused on policy writing and data analysis, hence why she took such a keen interest in the Finance sector.

Georja works as the Communications and Adviser Coordinator and is directly involved in delivering up-to-date information to you, maintaining communications between service providers and managing the administration of your insurance and mortgage needs.

Following the presentation or review of your Financial plan, Georja works closely alongside Dave to ensure full confidence when implementing and reviewing your insurance. Georja also maintains direct communication with external mortgage brokers Bawden Consulting and provides excellent support to clients throughout the process. Her high focus on attention to detail guarantees clear communication across all areas of her work.

Georja also works alongside Jess as key person in the Marketing team, working together to provide effective campaigns and improving Financial Literacy through multiple communication channels.

In her spare time Georja enjoys spending time with her family and friends, taking BodyPump classes at Les Mills and walking along Wellington Waterfront - wind, rain or shine.

Nicole Barrett

Adviser assistant

Nicole completed a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Economics and Finance, from Victoria University of Wellington in November. Her studies focused on how little financial knowledge many New Zealanders have.  Hence why she wanted to pursue a career in the financial services industry.

Nicole recently joined the team as an Adviser Assistant and provides support to Dave. She is looking forward to working with clients to help them achieve their financial goals.  

In her own time, Nicole enjoys spending time with friends and family and exploring Wellington.
